Hey Jenn Heil fans, we thought we’d give you extra info on the Cheer for Jenn initiative, how to participate, how to prizes from Oakley, Birks, Marcelle, Specialized and Hart, etc.

What is Cheer for Jenn about?
Cheer for Jenn is an initiative put together for Jennifer Heil, Canadian freestyle skiing champion and two-time Olympic medallist. The idea is to get the entire Canadian population to show their support for Jenn Heil in her 2010 season and beyond. This project was organized by Marcelle Cosmetics, one of Jenn’s sponsors.

Where do I enter?
The entry form on the official Cheer for Jenn website is here: http://www.cheerforjenn.com/freepage.php?page=191

What do I have to do to participate?
Enter before March 29, 2010 at noon ET: fill out the entry form and then, create your personal cheer to Jenn on the official website. You can choose 1 of 4 ways of doing your cheer:

-    Text: write a few words and upload a photo (photo is optional).
-    Video: upload a video of your cheer, or record a video live using your webcam, or link to your existing video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo.
-    Twitter: tweet your message on your personal Twitter account and make sure to include the hashtag #gojenn and this short URL: http://bit.ly/7mXth
-    Blog: write a blog post on your personal blog and send in the link to your post.

How can I win prizes?
You are automatically entered to win a prize when you submit your cheer on the official website. Make sure you receive your ID number in the confirmation email.

How can I increase my chances of winning?
It’s simple: get your entourage to submit their own cheer. The more people you get to send a cheer, the more chances you get. Just make sure they provide your ID number when entering so we can trace them back to you.

Your first 9 friends each give you 1 extra chance of winning.
Your 10th friend and following each give you 5 extra chances of winning.

So for example, if you got…
10 friends to submit a cheer, you have a total of 15 chances of winning
20 friends to submit a cheer, you have a total of 65 chances of winning
30 friends to submit a cheer, you have a total of 115 chances of winning

***Here’s how to make sure to get your points:
a)    Send your friends and family your personal link, located in the confirmation email you received after entering. Or give them your ID number, located in the top right corner of your entry on the www.cheerforjenn.com website.
b)    Then all they’ll need to do is complete their own entry form and include YOUR ID number in the appropriate field so we can trace them back to you.

What are the prizes?
The 12 secondary prizes are as follows, all generously donated by Jenn Heil’s sponsors. Each secondary prize also comes with a $100 gift basket from Marcelle Cosmetics.

5 pairs of OAKLEY sunglasses or ski goggles

The team was at Cypress Mountain to cheer for Jenn live on the very first day of the Vancouver Games. We were there for an incredible run by Jenn Heil as she won a lot more than the olympic silver medal. Her performance, her dignity and her smile have filled an entire country with love and pride. Thank you all for your amazing support!

We also got to live a historic moment when Alex Bilodeau won the first gold medal on home soil. What a week-end for the freestyle mogul team and coach Dominick Gauthier!

Our photos can be viewed here. You can also find gorgeous pics from our fans on Facebook.

Andrea Bull is the lucky winner of the Hart skis from our Cheer for Jenn contest. She tells us how she met Jenn at the Freestyle World Cup event in Calgary on January 9, and got her fabulous prize signed!

"I was just up watching the World Cup and my dad was working the finish area so he called me to come down once Jenn had won and was talking with the media. Kelley got Mike to take the photo of us for Marcelle." How cool is that?

A huge thanks to Kelley Korbin from the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association and to Mike Ridewood for taking the photo.

Did you know that Andrea used to ski on the BC provincial team and actually had the pleasure of duelling Jenn when she was about 14. This year, she is taking it easy and only doing a few competitions but is coaching freestyle skiing! So we’re really happy the skis will get lots of use!

Join Andrea and us in cheering for Jenn by sending her a message of encouragement here: cheerforjenn.com.
You can also become a Jenn fan on Facebook.

The Cheer for Jenn team is lucky enough to interview Jenn Heil after each of her competitions. What would you like to know about this amazing athlete, her journey to the Olympics, her tricks or rituals, etc.? Send in your question and the most original one will be included in our next interview with Jenn! Her answer will be posted here, on her personal blog.

Sorry, you can no longer submit your question. Jenn needs time to prepare for her next competition. Thanks for your participation!
